About Our Clinic

A 25 year history of delivering innovative and quality care

Dr. Weinstein has devoted his professional career to providing state-of-the-art, guideline-directed medical therapy. Having served as the Chairman of the Department of Cardiology at Bethesda Hospital, he was instrumental in implementing protocols to enhance the treatment of cardiovascular disease in the community.

Why Scrambler Therapy?

As a double board-certified internist and cardiologist, Dr. Weinstein recognized the impact that various forms of chronic disease play in the progression of heart disease.  Though the connection between peripheral neuropathy and heart disease may not be apparent at first, they are closely related.

Peripheral neuropathy can affect the autonomic nervous system, which controls involuntary bodily functions, including heart rate and blood pressure. Damage to these nerves can lead to cardiovascular issues such as arrhythmias, orthostatic hypotension, and other heart-related complications.

Chronic pain and mobility issues caused by peripheral neuropathy can lead to a sedentary lifestyle, weight gain, and poor diet, all of which are risk factors for heart disease. Reduced physical activity can also worsen cardiovascular health over time.

Effective pain relief through Scrambler Therapy can enhance a patient’s ability to engage in regular physical activity, promoting cardiovascular health.  Symptoms from peripheral neuropathy can significantly disrupt sleep, and poor sleep quality is linked to heart disease. By reducing pain, Scrambler Therapy can improve sleep patterns, thereby supporting better overall cardiovascular health.
